2012 Festival
DATE and VENUE TO BE ANNOUNCED
All post-secondary students worldwide are eligible to enter this festival by submiting their work in any of the categories listed below. There is no limit to the number of entries that can be submitted by one person in any category. Group efforts are accepted.
Entry Deadline June 4, 2012
Deadline for entries is June 4, 2012. Entries are to be mailed on disk. Include a typed list of your name, school and year, category, short description and length of animation or complete the online form that will be ready in the new year.
Categories for Entries
2D, 3D, Stop Motion, Mixed Media, Games
Unlicensed copyrighted music or artwork is not allowed.
All music and images must be your own work otherwise written permission must be obtained from the owner/ creator of the music or image and listed on the entry form or in the credits.
Entry Guidelines
Strict criteria must be met. Make sure that you read them before starting your animation. Artwork and images must be original and any music or sounds used must also be original or used with permission by the artist with credits to them included in the animation. In the case of free music or sounds that are offered by various websites, make sure you follow the rules of use set forth by the site and also credit the website and the artist if their name has been provided.
Judging and Awards
All entries will be pre-screened by the festival committee and then judged by industry professionals. The top film in each category will be announced at the festival.
Winning entries will receive the Festival Trophy.
